Sihastria Monastery is an orthodox monastery of monks located in the northern part of Neamț county, in Pipirig. After the destruction of 1821, when it was burned down by the Turks, it was restored in 1824, with the support of Metropolitan Veniamin Costachi. The building is sober and full of harmony, faithfully respecting the architecture of the classical Moldavian style. One of the most visited places in Sihăstria-Neamţ Monastery is Father Cleopa's cell. The great spiritual church face has lived here for over 40 years.
