The Bistrița Monastery is located in Bistrița village from Neamț county and occupies a special place among the Romanian monastic churches, having a significant historical and archaeological value. It was built in 1406 by the ruler Alexander the Good. The monastery has endured for centuries the shelter of the forests that cover it, facing the difficulties and trials of history. A piece that holds the attention from the entrance is the great bell given by Stephen the Great in 1494, weighing about 800 kg, decorated with an inscription in Slavonic and a beautiful coat of arms of Moldova.
