Located just 15 km from Piatra-Neamț, Lake Pangarati offers the traveler a spectacular landscape. Formed in 1964, it is one of the 8 accumulation lakes along the Bistrița river. The lake was designated a special avifaunistic protection area in 2004, due to the favorable food and shelter conditions that attract many species of migratory birds.
