The "Ion Creangă" Memorial Museum was arranged in the old house of the family of the storyteller from Humulești, where he spent his childhood years. The house was built in 1830 by the grandfather of the writer's father, Petrea Ciubotariul. The house built of wooden beams and covered with drainage reminds of the specificity of the peasant interiors of that time.
